About Us

You can survive without food for around 3 weeks, sleep for 10 days and water for 3 days. Without the breath you can survive only a few minutes.

Join Jackie & Vikki, trained breathing instructors with lived experience of Long Covid, to learn the power of the breath in a way that is appropriate and supportive of Long Covid & ME/CFS.

We both know what it's like to try to do breathing exercises that are too hard, too stressful or not quite right for someone living with these conditions.

We teach you the importance of learning your own body, your own nervous system, and how breath is the foundation of recovery.

The breath is not only a powerful tool in recovery, it is also a skill for life. We both use breathing exercises in our day to day lives.

We offer classes, courses and workshops to help those with Long Covid & ME/CFS on their recovery journey.

We know how difficult it is, because we've been there. And we're here to help.

"The missing pillar in health is breath" - James Nestor.

Jackie Baxter

Jackie trained as a Buteyko breathing instructor under the guidance of Patrick McKeown. Breathing was the first thing that helped her on her Long Covid journey and she felt compelled to learn & explore more about the power of the breath and specialise in this area. Now fully recovered, Jackie is devoted to providing help and inspiration to those still on their path; being who she needed when she was unwell. She is also a certified Holistic Life Coach & Mind-Body Practitioner.

Jackie now dedicates her time to working as a Breathing Instructor, focusing on individuals with Long Covid and ME/CFS. Along with Vikki, she runs courses & workshops or works individually to help people with their breath, the foundation of our health.

Jackie is also the host of the Long Covid Podcast, started out of sheer desperation but quickly expanded to include medical experts, researchers, and recovery stories. The podcast, which became a lifeline for her and many others, also reflects her own recovery journey.

Beyond her professional work, Jackie embraces a love of creativity, silliness, and the great outdoors. Whether it’s hillwalking, wild swimming, or seeking out new adventures, she brings a unique and joyful energy to all she does.

Vikki Jones

Vikki was born and raised in the UK, and after raising her own family in the Midwest, she and her husband retired to Arizona. She has over 40 years experience in the health and fitness industry as a personal trainer, dietitian and wellness coach. It has always been her belief that the best way to optimize health was find fun within the journey and simplify the adventure.

After a two year battle with Long Covid, Vikki was left hopeless, breathless, and fatigued. Vikki's journey into breath work started rather shakily in 2022 when she attended her first stasis work shop — and even the stasis program was too advanced for her at the time. However, she understood that breathing mechanics and functional breathing was something she needed to improve on, and by simplifying the stasis program, her real breathwork journey began.

Vikki went on to train with an internationally renowned coach, Patrick McKeown, and Dr. Belisa Vranich before becoming a certified OA, Buteyko, Breathing for Yoga and Breathing Mechanics Instructor.

It is immensely important to Vikki to keep her sessions fun, engaging, and enlightening. She promises to lead you in functional breath work sessions based on the valuable principles of Buteyko and Breath Mechanics. Working with Vikki will guide you through an exploration of everyday breath, alongside practices that support calmness and build resilience. If we want to be our best selves, we must learn the tools to help us relax, rest, restore, recover, and heal.

Watch our free workshop: How can the breath help in recovery?

In February we gave a short workshop about the breath in recovery.

We explain a little about who we are, what we do and why.

We take you through a few of the breathing exercises that we teach - it's important to experience them! But also that practise makes progress - it's the consistency over time where you'll see the biggest gains.

It was a lovely session with some great questions being asked.
